“Excellence from Campania in Poggiomarino, Boscoreale, San Giuseppe Vesuviano, Striano, Terzigno”. The new edition of the format that brings Products from Campania to the key international markets will take place from 17th January in the Province of Naples, at the foot of Mt. Vesuvius. This is an important incoming promotion event, bringing top domestic and international food buyers and tour operators to the networked towns, thanks to the opportunities afforded by the 2014-2020 Supplementary Operational Programme (SOP Campania).
The five-day incoming programme features B2B meetings between world buyers and local tour and food companies, show-cooking, finger food offerings from celebrated chefs and the presence of international press and opinion leaders. The objective is to promote the local potential for tourism, culture and production in the lesser-known towns of Poggiomarino, Boscoreale, San Giuseppe Vesuviano, Striano and Terzigno. This will strengthen the bond between the land, its products, culture and traditions.
‘Excellence from Campania’ is organizing a series of connected events: a workshop on food and tourism with international buyers in Poggiomarino; a conference with local authorities, industry experts, producers and opinion leaders in Boscoreale; a photo exhibition on Mt. Vesuvius, the volcano that brought tragedy as well as opportunities to the local villages, in Terzigno; and a Fashion & Food themed catwalk in San Giuseppe Vesuviano.
Business, tourism, culture, fashion, food and local marketing: local schools will also participate, with a competition rewarding the best ‘Food and Wine Itinerary’ at the Striano Town Hall. Local schools will present their itineraries with photographs, essays, and advice for fans of culture, food, the environment and the arts.
All ‘Excellence from Campania’ events will be promoted with a communication campaign employing advertising, printouts, websites, social media and press office.
